The Longest Day in Space (宇宙で一番長い日) is the 23rd episode of The Irresponsible Captain Tylor. It aired on June 28th, 1993 in Japan.
It is preceded by Force of One and followed by Snap! Snap! Crackle! Snap!.
Synopsis[]
Dom is given command of the Raalgon forces. Tylor skips the strategy meeting and shows up oddly quiet and calm. He orders the ships to continue advancing and nothing else. Dom orders the same. As the ships get closer, the electricity coming off of the ships causes sparks to literally fly between them. Despite their proximity Tylor still gives no other order. Mifune is enraged by his attitude and tries to attack him, but Yamamato holds him back. As the Soyokaze passes by Dom's ship, Tylor and Dom salute each other. They silently continue past each other and out of the battlefield without a single shot fired. Both sides had essentially made it out victorious. Dom reveals that he had known Tylor had found a way to end the war without bloodshed.
